Dinky - Dyes began in Perth, Western Australia in 2002 and in 2004 we moved to Houston, Texas and now we also have a Texas registered business. We have 126 beautiful colours in our Silk range and 71 in our stranded cotton and perle 5, 8 and 12. At this time we don't dye our solid colours in the cotton so only the multi-coloured threads are available in the stranded cotton, perle 5, 8 and 12. We use the best quality 6 stranded or perle, 100% cotton thread and 6 stranded spun silk as a base product on which to create the wonderfully unique colours found in Dinky - Dyes. The silk is manufactured to our own specifications in Thailand. Each stranded skein of cotton and silk is approximately 8m in length and the 5, 8 and 12 perle skeins are 15m in length. Our threads are suitable for all kinds of embroidery, cross stitch, hardanger and smocking where a unique and visual pleasing thread is required. As Dinky - Dyes are hand dyed, dye lots will vary. Every effort is made to ensure consistency in floss colours but inevitably, there will be some subtle differences. We encourage you to ensure your customer buys enough threads from the same dyelot to complete their project. Although most Dinky - Dyes appear to be colourfast we cannot guarantee this, especially with the darker colours., We not only endeavour to produce a quality product but our customer service is as important to us as our product. We recognise that not all stores can stock each range of threads available, so we have set no minimum order requirements. We also endeavour to ship within 24 hours and charge only actual postage on all orders.
